Villa Ouranos is a 2 floor villa at the Birds complex.Has 3 bedrooms (2 at the second floor and 1 at the ground level) plus living room Kitchenet. 2 bathrooms.Can accomodate up to 8 person included the double sofa bed at the living room. 1 balcony with very nice view and a large terrace with sea view. All rooms with aircon and private wifi for free. The villa is coming with a small townie car included ALL YEAR round and breakfast. Also, free transfer from the airport or the port is included too.

Deep in the heart of Santorini countryside, one can find "The Birds Villa Apartments". "The Birds Villa Apartments" lies in Perissa beach on the road to Ancient Thira at the base of the Mesa Vouno mountain, under the protection of Katefiani monastery just 500 meters from the black volcanic beach of Perissa. The large fresh water swimming pools are surrounded by high walls for absolute privacy. Surrounding the Villa flowers & olive trees create a relaxing environment.All the rooms and apartments are self catering with full kitchen facilities and separate bedrooms.The Birds is not a hotel or private rooms, is a private villa with 7 nice and comfortable apartments.

The Villa is located in a very nice spot just 500 m from the beach of Perissa. The biggest super market, bakery and post office of the village is 350 m away. The main road with all the pubs, bus stations, restaurants and shops is just 200 m away. The only water park of the island is 300 m from the Villa.

My only negative comment was that the coffee was always just like warm - even if we had it straight away. It?s 5 mins or so walk to the beach, restaurants, supermarket and lovely bakery but is in a scenic countryside location at the foot of the mountain. Breakfast was very nice and the staff were helpful and very pleasant. Clean towels including pool towels provided. Self service washing machine was useful. Pool was nice - maybe more sun beds would be recommended. The house was for 8 with 3 bedrooms and 2 in the living room on sofa beds (blackout to the living room would have been appreciated for the 2 sleeping in it). Car provided was very useful. What can I say from start to finish our experience was fab The staff were friendly and went the extra mile to help in any way they could to ensure our needs were met Alexandra the housekeeper and her assistant Maria made our holiday perfect Breakfast was delivered each day to our apartment with a good selection of items. The addition of a car for the entire holiday made exploring the island so easy. A pick up and drop off at the airport also helped to make the start and end to our holiday trouble free. The apartments were basic but functional for our needs and were cleaned every day A little way out of Perissa but a pleasant 10 minute stroll to the main street where there were a wide variety of restaurants and a good super market a further 7/8 mins walk and you arrived at the beach again with a huge variety of restaurants to choose from. It was our first visit to Santorini and enjoyed a new island experience Will be back and will be booking once again at the Birds .... Can't wait to see all the team next May !!!! | 5 |
| AnandaWed 06 Jun, 2018 | Exceptional value for moneyI stayed here for 12 nights with a large group of family and friends to attend a family wedding. It was exceptional value for money. We virtually had the pool area to ourselves as most travelers where out and about and only staying a couple of days at a time. We were greeted at the airport to free transfers and a small fiat Panda was provided for the entire stay. The staff could not be more helpful, a breakfast was brought to our room each morning and the villa was cleaned daily with fresh bedding every other day. Our party took up three of the villas and ranged from children, teens, young people and grandparents and suited us all. The beach was a ten minute walk with restaurants and a good supermarket on the main road (go to the deli at the co-op and get 1.5 litre wine for 2.95 euro). A taxi to kamari is about 30 Euro but I would recommend the water taxi at 5 euro each. A thoroughly wonderful base for a holiday to Santorini we will definitely be back soon. | 5 |

But overall it was a great holiday, the house keepers breakfast was excellent & she is a lovely lady. We love having the car was able to see a lot more of the island which is amazing. They were perfect for our needs but somewhat further from the beach than advertised. Considering the unit came with a car, our rental was a real bargain. Lastly, the people who made the villa what it is were Alexandra and Poulie who did all the cleaning and made a tremendous but different breakfast each day we were there.
